Scandal in Zhytomyr Region: 24-year-old intern doctor was mobilized immediately after turning 25 within the walls of the TRC

In the Zhytomyr region, a 24-year-old intern doctor was mobilized after visiting the TRC to update his data.

As reported by the head of the parliamentary TIS Oleksiy Honcharenko, the man came to the military enlistment office on May 19 — the day before his 25th birthday (mobilization in Ukraine is possible only after reaching this age).

According to Honcharenko, he was not released after his visit to the military enlistment office. He spent the night of May 19 to 20 «under the control of the TRC», and after midnight (when he turned 25) he underwent a military medical commission.

TRC representative Oleksandr Rets confirmed that on May 20 the man was declared fit for service and mobilized. When asked where exactly the doctor was on the night before his mobilization, he replied: «I do not have such data at the moment».

Honcharenko considers these actions illegal, since at the time of his visit to the TRC the young man was not yet subject to mobilization.
