In Kharkiv, a scheme for issuing fictitious disabilities for those liable for military service was exposed.

An 80-year-old former medical worker, a family doctor, her son, and niece — an artist of the Lysenko Opera and Ballet Theater — received suspicion.

According to the investigation, since December 2024, they organized fictitious diagnoses, hospitalizations, and medical documents for a fee of 6 thousand dollars to obtain a deferment from conscription. Also, according to law enforcement, clients were instructed on passing commissions.

The key role was played by the ex-doctor, who used professional connections, and functions were distributed among the participants — from document processing to financial transactions.

One of the conscripts, according to the investigation, after a series of examinations and fictitious hospitalizations, received the III disability group and a deferment.

On June 2, all suspects were detained and notified of suspicion.
