Promised a reservation for over 200,000 hryvnias: deputy and deputy head of Borodyanka settlement council detained in Kyiv region
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has notified a deputy and deputy head of the Borodyanka settlement council of suspicion of facilitating evasion of mobilization.
According to the investigation materials, they created a mechanism for receiving bribes for influencing the decisions of officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the fictitious employment of conscripts in a military unit with subsequent registration of a reservation from conscription.
For one conscript, they demanded $4,500.
Under the scheme, conscripts were placed in civilian positions in the military unit, after which they planned to provide them with reservations. Law enforcement officers recorded negotiations, meetings, transmission of instructions, and the process of document preparation.
During the receipt of the agreed amount of illegal benefit in the amount of $9,000, the participants of the scheme were detained.
According to a source in law enforcement agencies, the deputy of the Borodyanka settlement council detained in the bribery case is Roman Yerko — the son of Heorhiy Yerko, who for a long time served as the mayor of Borodyanka after the start of the war.
