From a dormitory to millionaire: former language ombudsman Taras Kremin has published his income declaration

Former Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Taras Kremin became a millionaire. He moved from a dormitory in Kyiv and now works as a lecturer at Mykolaiv University.

This is evidenced by the data of his electronic declaration for the past year.

Kremin wrote the book «Palianytsia» and the textbook «Ukrainian Language for Adults». Last year, his salary reached about one million hryvnias, most of which he received from the Secretariat of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language. His wife Yuliya earned 2.5 million hryvnias from entrepreneurial activities.

Kremin keeps 32 thousand dollars in cash — today this is over 1.3 million hryvnias in equivalent. His and his wife’s other savings are insignificant. He also continues to pay off a loan for housing in Mykolaiv, the debt on which amounted to 79 thousand hryvnias by the end of the year.

Currently, Kremin works as a lecturer at Mykolaiv Agrarian University.
