NABU and SAPO announced suspicion against the former deputy head of the Western Regional Directorate of the SBGS, who currently holds the position of deputy head of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the SBGS. The official is suspected of illegal enrichment.

This was reported by the press services of SAPO and NABU

Within the pre-trial investigation, it was established that while holding a position in the SBGS, in 2023–2024 he acquired more than UAH 11 million, the lawful origin of which is not confirmed by evidence.

Part of these funds, according to investigators, was spent on purchasing a Toyota RAV4 vehicle. The remaining cash was discovered by NABU detectives during a search at the official’s residence.

The actions were qualified under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
