Defence Forces did not direct assets towards Bulgaria: MFA commented on the drone incident

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Heorhiy Tykhyi commented on the drone falling on Bulgarian territory.

He told journalists about this.

"We are in close contact with the Bulgarian side to clarify the circumstances. We can say for sure that the Defence Forces of Ukraine did not intentionally direct any assets toward Bulgaria," Tykhyi said.

He noted that all circumstances of what happened and all technical facts are currently being clarified.

"We are fully open to cooperation with Bulgaria to clarify the details," Tykhyi emphasized.

"It is important to note that the root cause of all incidents of this type is Russia’s war against Ukraine, which has already been going on for the fifth year, deliberately prolonged by Moscow and threatens not only Ukrainians but also, unfortunately, other peoples and countries. That is why the earliest possible end to the war is critically important for ensuring the security of the region, and we count on joint work with partners to force Moscow into peace. We are grateful to Bulgaria for its understanding and cooperation in pursuit of the full truth, security, and peace," added the spokesperson of the foreign affairs agency.
