The EU has allocated another 30 million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of the energy system

The European Union has directed an additional contribution of €30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing the total EU assistance to this financial instrument to €279 million.

This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, the Ministry of Energy notes.

Shmyhal emphasized the importance of the received funding for the stable operation of the Ukrainian energy system.

"The funds coming through this financial instrument help us restore energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks, purchase critically necessary equipment for our energy companies, and ensure reliable energy supply, primarily for critical infrastructure," Shmyhal stressed.

The ministry noted that the European Union maintains its status as one of Ukraine’s key partners in the energy sector and expressed gratitude to the European Commission and the EU for their consistent assistance.
