Court allows Yermak to travel within Ukraine: the High Anti-Corruption Court has amended the preventive measure

The investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court changed the preventive measure for former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, expanding the territory in which he is allowed to move.

This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

On August 10, the court partially granted the motion of Yermak’s defense. He is suspected of laundering property obtained through criminal means during the construction of a private cottage community near Kyiv.

According to the SAPO, the defense’s motion was based on letters from military unit commanders regarding Yermak’s participation in a project providing legal assistance to servicemen.

Previously, Yermak was prohibited from leaving Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission from an investigator, prosecutor, or court. This restriction now applies to Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions. At the same time, he is allowed to transit through other regions.

The prosecutor objected to the motion, stating that the previous obligations did not prevent the implementation of the project in which Yermak acts as a manager rather than as a lawyer directly providing legal assistance.
