Russia used five times more jet UAVs in July than in June — Ihnat

Russia is increasing the use of jet drones during attacks on Ukraine. At the same time, conventional “Shaheds” still outnumber them.

This was reported by the head of the communications department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat.

Ihnat clarified his previous statement regarding the share of jet UAVs. According to him, during certain attacks, such drones can make up up to two-thirds of the total number of drones used.

“Regarding TWO THIRDS of jet UAVs — here is the correct quote: During SOME ATTACKS, Russia’s jet UAVs make up up to two-thirds of the total number of drones used,” he noted.

The head of the communications department of the Air Force stressed that the situation is changing dynamically. Russian forces are gradually increasing the share of jet UAVs during attacks.

“The enemy is increasing the percentage of jet UAVs. For example, in July the enemy used five times more jet UAVs than in June,” Ihnat said.

At the same time, according to him, conventional “Shaheds” still outnumber them. As an example, he cited the night attack on 14 August, during which Russia used 108 UAVs.

“More than 30 of them were jet!” added the head of the communications department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
