Ukraine has sharply increased the use of Flamingo missiles against military targets of the Russian Federation
Ukraine has sharply increased the use of Flamingo missiles for strikes on Russian military and defense facilities.
This is evidenced by an analysis of reports from the Russian Defense Ministry, writes the Agency.
Since June, the Russian Defence Ministry has claimed the alleged destruction of at least 57 Flamingo missiles. For comparison, from February to May, the Russian agency reported 31 missiles shot down.
Thus, in June the Russian Defence Ministry reported 12 Flamingo missiles shot down, in July — 20, and in the first half of August — 25. In the spring the figures were significantly lower: five missiles in March, four in April, and seven in May.
The Agency notes that in the summer the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out at least four successful Flamingo strikes, including an attack on Samara.
In the winter and spring of 2026, Flamingo missiles also hit at least four targets.
According to military analyst Kyrylo Mykhailov, the increase in the number of Flamingo uses may be linked to the expansion of their production.
