The wife of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko found herself in the spotlight in September 2026 due to her husband’s resignation and the scandal surrounding the Prosecutor General’s Office. The woman holds a doctoral degree in law and works at one of the country’s leading legal universities.

Ruslan Kravchenko’s wife is Oleksandra Kravchenko, who before marriage had the surname Parovyshnyk and, in a previous marriage, Shovkoplyas.

Oleksandra Kravchenko is a Candidate of Legal Sciences. She works as an assistant at the Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Activities of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

According to media reports, Oleksandra and Ruslan Kravchenko knew each other since their university years. Online rumors also circulated that the future prosecutor general had already been in love with her at that time.

Before marrying Kravchenko, Oleksandra was married to Maksym Shovkoplyas, prosecutor of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv Region. In 2025, NABU and SAPO notified him of suspicion in a case involving the embezzlement of 12 million UAH worth of grain from the State Reserve.

At the end of 2025, Ruslan Kravchenko, who was already heading the Office of the Prosecutor General at the time, visited the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. During the visit, he personally presented Oleksandra, who still bore the surname Shovkoplyas, with an Honorary Certificate from the Prosecutor General.

In the spring of 2026, Ruslan and Oleksandra Kravchenko married. The change in marital status became known after corresponding updates appeared in the registers of individual entrepreneurs, where the woman changed her surname to Kravchenko.

Separate attention from activists of the Anti-Corruption Center was drawn to Oleksandra Kravchenko’s income as an individual entrepreneur. She registered her business activity in July 2020, and almost immediately afterward began declaring multimillion profits — from 4.5 to 6.5 million UAH annually.

Investigations suggest that these incomes may have been used to legalize or explain Ruslan Kravchenko’s residence in an elite rented house in Kozyn with an area of 280 sq. m. According to Bihus.Info journalists, it refers to a spacious house with a large adjacent plot.

Against the backdrop of similarities between this story and situations involving other figures in NABU investigations, Oleksandra Kravchenko was ironically dubbed yet another prosecutorial “Muse” online.
