Three banks have been fined for violating financial monitoring regulations


The National Bank fined three banks a total of 4.041 million UAH for violations of financial monitoring legislation.

This is evidenced by data from the NBU.In March, Bank "Sich" was fined 1.284 million UAH, Bank "Concord" 1.55 million UAH, and Bank "Ukrainian Capital" 1.207 million UAH for identified signs of risky activity in the field of financial monitoring.

In addition, the NBU decided that the chairman of the board of Bank "Ukrainian Capital" does not meet the requirements of Ukrainian legislation. The bank is headed by Oleksandr Tykhomyrov.

All three financial institutions, as well as Ukrbudinvestbank, have been issued written warnings for violations.

As a reminder, in February TAScombank was fined 6 million UAH for violations of financial monitoring.

The NBU plans to soon transition to conducting interventions using Matching - a new feature for executing deals in Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters trading information systems.
