Occupants shelled Kupyansk with heavy bombs: there are casualties, residential buildings destroyed


Russian occupation forces continue to carry out airstrikes on border settlements in the Kharkiv region. On Saturday, February 17, the Russian army shelled Kupyansk.

As a result of another terrorist attack, residential buildings were destroyed and there are victims. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

The shelling, which destroyed a two-storey house with 2 entrances and damaged at least 5 private houses, took place around 13:30.

Two women were hospitalised with injuries, and one civilian man was treated on the spot.

In addition, a 69-year-old woman was unblocked from the rubble of the house. She is currently hospitalised with a fractured limb.

The search continues, two people still remain under the rubble.

Men aged 69 and 44 were also injured.

The Office of the Prosecutor General clarified that the Russian Armed Forces dropped aerial bombs on residential areas of Kupyansk.

Previously, the military of the aggressor state dropped at least five aerial bombs on the city.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kupyansk district prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors and police investigators continue to work at the scene of yet another Russian terror attack.
