In Poltava, a lawyer helped draft dodgers go abroad

A member of the Lawyers’ Council of Poltava Region was exposed and served a notice of suspicion on organising the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the investigation, while providing legal advice, the suspect offered, for a monetary reward of 10 thousand dollars, to prepare “volunteer” documents for the person liable for military service, which would provide grounds for leaving Ukraine. Evasive agreed and gave her part of the funds in the amount of $4,180.

After some time, the lawyer reported that the scheme for traveling abroad under the guise of a “volunteer” was not yet in effect, and offered to help him draw up documents about his allegedly unsatisfactory state of health. This would give the man the opportunity to freely leave the country. The suspect assured that she has positive experience in organizing similar exit schemes for those liable for military service.
