Starting next week, the British will be able to transfer cars intended for recycling to Ukraine

Vehicles from the UK that are subject to London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) regulations will be able to be sent to Ukraine for humanitarian use instead of being scrapped.

This was stated by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, The Guardian reports.

Applicants will be able to donate vehicles in exchange for the same grant payment available to drivers who scrap or upgrade their vehicles - up to £2,000.

The donated cars will be transferred to the Ukrainian authorities on a permanent basis for humanitarian and medical needs.
