The station does not yet produce electricity. Experts inspect the damage to determine and assess the extent of the damage.
At the Dnipro hydroelectric station, after a missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces, power engineers, despite significant damage, managed to put some of the equipment into operation. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. The agency released operational information about the situation in the energy system as of 15:00 on Friday, March 22.
The station does not generate electricity yet. Inspection of the damage continues to determine and assess the extent of the damage.
“High-voltage lines in a number of regions have been partially powered. In particular, the operation of the 750 kV Dniprovska overhead power line, which powers the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, has been resumed,” the Ministry of Energy reported.
In the Zaporizhzhya region, network restrictions have been lifted, but there is a power outage due to military operations.
According to the department, the most difficult situation is in Kharkiv. Due to significant damage, about 600 thousand consumers are without electricity. Work continues to revitalize the city’s critical infrastructure.
“Network restrictions remain for consumers in the Odesa region (restrictions for more than 230 thousand consumers) and the Dnipropetrovsk region (150 thousand consumers were disconnected, restrictions apply to more than 10 thousand subscribers). In the Khmelnytskyi region, after a large-scale blackout (about 200 thousand remained without electricity) without electricity — more than 2,000 thousand subscribers,” the Ministry of Energy added.
After emergency work, power engineers supplied power to consumers in Vinnytsia and Lviv regions.
