People’s deputy: Persons with limited ability to work should undergo a second medical examination

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed bill No. 10313, concerning repeated medical examinations of limitedly eligible men.

This was reported by the website of the Verkhovna Rada and the Telegram channel of people’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The law states that men found to be partially fit for service will be required to undergo a second medical examination within 9 months. This is due to the fact that in Ukraine the concept of “limitedly suitable” for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was abolished.

The same law spells out standards for ensuring the rights of military personnel and police officers to social protection.

As Zheleznyak said, the bill has been significantly improved.

In particular:

it became possible for military personnel to undergo treatment for up to 12 months, including abroad, without the need to personally undergo a military medical commission after four months; established by law as a monetary payment of 15 million UAH to the family of the defender in the event of his death.
