Those unfit for military service must carry military registration documents everywhere


The new Enhanced Mobilization Act 10449, signed by the President on May 16, provides changes to the military registration exclusion rules. In particular, now persons declared unfit for military service or who have reached the age limit for being in the reserve will have a military registration document.

So, according to Part 6 of Art. 37 of the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service” as amended, citizens of Ukraine who:

1) deceased or recognized as missing or declared dead in accordance with the procedure established by law;

2) ceased citizenship of Ukraine;

3) are declared unfit for military service;

4) have reached the age limit for being in reserve.

“A citizen excluded from military registration in accordance with paragraphs 3 and 4 of this part will not have his military registration document confiscated. Data on exclusion from military registration is entered into the citizen’s military registration document,” the amendments indicate.
