According to the intelligence chief, the enemy wants to involve people in Ukraine during the organization of his special operation, but these plans are doomed to failure.
The Russians may be planning a new assassination attempt on the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), Kyrylo Budanov. Budanov himself told about this in a new interview with BBC Ukraine.
According to him, the only thing he is afraid of as a believer is God. He does not even consider the issue of captivity during the war, and he does not understand why he should be afraid of anything else.
The intelligence chief responded to the allegations that he is called "reckless" in the context of planning operations and "a person who enjoys danger":
"This is the opinion of some people. Maybe they are right somewhere, maybe not. I usually use another, ancient rule: "You don’t judge the winners".
Next came a question about the attempts on Kirill Budanov’s life, of which there have been about ten since then. The number has not changed since his last statements. In addition, the enemy is now planning something else, but, like in the past, it will not succeed, the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine believes.
"It is in the interests of the Russians, it is true. It’s the Russians, in the interests of the Russians. They plan to involve people here as well. This is normal, operational work for them," Kyrylo Budanov continued.
As for the attempted assassination of his wife, there will definitely be answers, but it is too early to talk about it. No arrests have been made, as the Ukrainian intelligence chief "never plays these games". The investigation is progressing, and the perpetrators will definitely be punished.
