A large-scale man-made accident occurred in Kropyvnytskyi: a fire at the Khimrezerv plant


On May 6, a fire occurred at the Khimrezerv plant in Kropyvnytskyi, which produces paint and varnish products. A man died. The head of the Kirovohrad Regional Administration, Andriy Raikovych, wrote about this on Telegram.

“By preliminary definition, this is a man-made emergency,” he said, adding that the fire is not related to Russian aggression. The fire occurred in factory chemical tanks. Residents were urged to close their windows and stay at home. There is a strong stench in many areas of the city.

According to the head of the regional military administration, the spread of the fire was stopped at 14:44.
