Ukraine is awaiting the arrival of F-16 fighters from Western partners. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about this with Prime Minister of Denmark Matte Frederiksen on Wednesday, May 8.
They discussed solutions that would help speed up the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
This was reported on the official website of the head of state.
Also during this telephone conversation, the issue of strengthening the Ukrainian energy sector was raised. In addition, Zelenskyy and Frederiksen discussed joint work with partners to supply Ukraine with ammunition.
Our country really needs them and F-16 fighters in order to more effectively repel Russian aggression and protect the Ukrainian sky from attacks by invaders.
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy told his interlocutors about the combined strike that the aggressor state of the Russian Federation inflicted on civilian targets in Ukraine this night, and the situation on the front line. Ukraine’s urgent need to strengthen air defense is an issue that was a separate part of the conversations. The President thanked for the help to our country with search and supply of air defence systems,” the statement said.
