Belgium will transfer 30 F-16 fighters to Ukraine by 2028

Belgium will undertake to provide 30 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine until 2028.

This was stated by Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, RTL reports.

She noted that the first fighters should be delivered to Ukraine “before the end of the year.”

According to her, this commitment will be formalized in the agreement on security guarantees, which Ukraine and Belgium will sign today.

The Belgian Ministry of Defence will also transfer ammunition from its stockpiles to equip F-16s for Ukraine.

According to the minister, this support from Kyiv is necessary in order to stop Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who is determined, as she says, to push back the borders of European countries and ensure the security of Belgium.
