President Emmanuel Macron announced the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to France next week to mark the 80th anniversary of the landing of Allied forces in Normandy (D-Day).

“I will have the opportunity, when President Zelenskyy comes to France next week on the occasion of D-Day, to receive him and then have a very precise conversation to announce what we are going to do,” Macron said at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz.
The French President added that all possible options for assistance to Ukraine will be discussed directly during Zelenskyy’s upcoming visit to France.
Answering a question about the alleged imminent dispatch of French military instructors to Ukraine, Macron said that he does not “comment on rumors” and condemned “uncoordinated and unsuccessful communications.”
