The city of Vovchansk in the north of the Kharkov region is 70% under the control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Now in its vicinity there are battles with Russian occupiers.
This was stated by the speaker of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia" Nazar Voloshyn during a telethon .
“Now the Defence Forces control the city of Vovchansk, about 70%. In the city and its surroundings there are tough battles with the invaders, because the Russians there do not stop trying to advance or gain a foothold in small assault groups,” said the speaker of the OSMU “Khortytsia”.
But, according to Voloshin, the Ukrainian military is doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold and keeping the invaders under fire control. The Vovchya River is also under fire control, said the OSMU speaker, adding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are making every effort to prevent the Russians from crossing to the other side.
