They will help ensure security for the peace summit on Ukraine, which will take place on June 15-16 in the Swiss city of Bürgenstock. The military, which will operate until June 19, will support police in tasks such as security of critical installations, air surveillance and logistics.
The Swiss government also announced that from June 13 to 17, certain restrictions in the country’s airspace will apply in the area of the summit. This applies to non-commercial flights and flights of drones and other unmanned objects. The area will be constantly patrolled by F/A 18 fighters.
