Zelenskyy tells why Putin’s operation to seize Kharkiv failed

Putin’s operation to seize Kharkiv has failed, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Italian TV channel Sky TG24 .

“Well done to our military, Putin’s operation to capture the city of Kharkiv failed. And our guys stabilized the situation. Not only that, we expected support and a positive vote from the US Congress. And it is clear that after 8 months without this package, they (the occupiers - Ed.) were unable to capture the city they wanted to capture. And this was their operation,” the president noted.

He also added that the Russian army does not stop terrorizing Ukrainians and uses 3200-3500 aerial bombs per month against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure.

“When they (the occupiers - Ed.) attack with drones and missiles, and they attack and talk about military goals, then, first of all, it is a lie. They used thousands of these CABs specifically to make people afraid, and people fled from this or that city, from this or that community. For what? So that they run away, and Russia has the opportunity to occupy these villages and cities. And this is the main goal, just like Hitler did,” Zelenskyy said.
