The High Anti-Corruption Court took into custody the former people’s deputy, chairman of the Mukachevo district council of the Transcarpathian region, Mykhailo Lanyo. NABU and SAPO consider him the organizer of abuses amounting to UAH 75 million during the sale of the territory of the Avangard stadium in the city.
This decision was made by HACC investigative judge Ihor Strohyi on June 27.
The NABU detective and the SAPO prosecutor asked to arrest Lanyo with an alternative of UAH 50 million bail. The defence side objected to the motion and filed a complaint about the illegal detention of the client.
At the same time, the SAPO prosecutor said that after the last searches of Lanyo, he began to give his property to his daughter, and also received a fake disability certificate allowing him to travel abroad. The suspect has traveled abroad several times.
“The petition is partially granted. Apply a preventive measure to the suspect Mykhailo Lanyo in the form of detention for a period of 60 days from the date of his actual detention,” the judge announced the decision.
At the same time, the suspect was given an alternative bail of UAH 30 million. Upon payment of funds, Lanyo will be released from the detention center under the following obligations: to attend every request; do not leave the city of Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region, without permission; report changes in your place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with a number of people; deposit your passport and wear an electronic bracelet.
