The subsidiary Ukrburshtyn managed to avoid losing almost UAH 73 million thanks to the evidence collected by the NABU and the SAPO.
In September 2020, the then management of the State Enterprise entered into an agreement for the safekeeping of scientific and technical documentation, which allegedly belonged to a private company. Subsequently, the director of Ukrburshtyn staged the theft of documents, as a result of which a multimillion-dollar debt arose to the LLC. After this, the accomplices in the crime initiated the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings for Ukrburshtyn in order to subsequently collect the debt due to the corresponding procedure.
On June 13, 2024, the Supreme Court, in particular, having examined the evidence collected by detectives and prosecutors, issued a ruling that finally refused to allow a group of people to collect a fictitious debt from the State Enterprise “Ukrburshtyn”.
In addition, the indictment against three accused in the scheme to seize funds from the State Enterprise “Ukrburshtyn” has been pending consideration by the High Anti-Corruption Court since February 2023.
