The people’s deputy said whether gas and electricity tariffs will be increased

According to MP Oleh Seminskyi, the International Monetary Fund has hinted at lifting the moratorium on price increases, but there are no official documents yet.

Until the end of the year, there are no plans to raise tariffs for either electricity or gas in Ukraine. This was stated by MP from Servant of the People Oleh Seminskyi on the air of Noviny.Live.

According to him, as of today, Ukraine has a small reserve of gas, so we definitely shouldn’t expect an increase in prices. At the same time, the people’s deputy clarified that this is his personal opinion.

During the negotiations, the International Monetary Fund hints to Ukraine that it is necessary to lift the moratorium on raising tariffs for the population even before the end of a full-scale war, the politician says.

“However, there are no such official documents, they (IMF - Ed.) simply express their vision. We must again proceed from the realities that we have in the country - war, household incomes and the like,” said Oleh Seminskyi.
