Ukrainian Armed Forces face catastrophic situation in Ocheretyne area - military

Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman and radio technology specialist Serhiy Beskrestnov (’Flash’) said that over the past three weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been facing a catastrophic situation in the direction of Ocheretyne: Russians are using drones with non-standard frequencies and massively destroying Ukrainian military vehicles.

He announced this on Radio NV.

“They take about five days to carry out all our logistics, all the roads, because we were not ready for this - we do not have the funds for this range. And this is a big problem now. We are thinking about what to do with this, because in fact the Russians organized a safari there in this area, taking advantage of the fact that the range is unique,” said Flash.

“I want to say that we cannot cover everything in the world with electronic warfare. You must understand that placing a set of domes on a machine over the entire frequency range is unrealistic. We close, naturally, as necessary, and the Russians do the same. And so they found such a moment: they saturated one front line with drones with a non-standard range and simply stupidly arranged a safari for us, taking out our cars by the dozens per day. It’s hard to describe,” he added.

The specialist explained that the Russians installed a double battery on the FPV so that it would have a longer flight life. And they launch these FPVs on non-standard frequencies from a high position - either from a repeater or from high-rise buildings. Thanks to this, they fly these FPVs for 13-15 kilometers.

“That’s why this long-haul problem developed there in the first place, because they found a high position. Perhaps these are the Ocheretine skyscrapers, maybe some other high position. And from there they carry our logistics over a long distance. Therefore, for now this problem is local and is observed only there,” said Flash.

At the same time, he added that, having realized the effectiveness of the new tactics, the Russians will quickly begin to use it along the entire front line.

“Therefore, our task now is to train crews and change antennas. That is, we have exactly the same period of time to quickly make electronic warfare domes for these ranges in order to at least somehow close them,” he said.
