NABU launched an investigation against People’s Deputy Oleksandr Feldman

The MP was found to have signs of declaring false information worth more than UAH 5.8 million, and NABU began criminal proceedings.

This was reported by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) based on the results of a full audit of the people’s deputy’s declaration for 2021.

In particular, the audit found that the people’s deputy did not indicate information about the existing financial obligation that arose as a result of the conclusion of a purchase and sale agreement for corporate rights for UAH 4.8 million, as well as about the one-time expense incurred in the amount of UAH 500 thousand as payment for accommodation in apartments in the Maldives.

In addition, discrepancies were discovered between the amounts of actual one-time expenses incurred to repay his existing obligations by more than UAH 400 thousand.

Based on the results of the inspection, the NACP made a reasonable conclusion under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code (entry of knowingly false information into the declaration).

“Based on the results of consideration of the substantiated conclusion by the Prosecutor General, criminal proceedings have been initiated. The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau,” the NAPC added.

The message does not specify the name of the deputy, however, according to Lb.ua, false information in the amount of over 5.8 million hryvnia was found from Oleksandr Feldman (part of the Restoration of Ukraine group, at the time of his election he was a member of Our Land).

For now, the inspection materials have been sent to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) to resolve the issue of filing a lawsuit in court to recognize the ex-official’s assets as unfounded and recover them for the state, which is provided for in Article 290 of the Code of Civil Procedure of Ukraine.
