After the incident on the border with Romania, the court refused to tighten the preventive measure against the former head of the Supreme Court, Vsevolod Knyazev.
HACC did not find any violations on the part of Knyazev and refused to satisfy the prosecutor’s request to restrict his right to move around the territory of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Klochkov, the lawyer of the former head of the Supreme Court, told the media about this.
“Apparently, under the pressure of public outcry, which was caused by the news that Vsevolod Knyazev was stopped for inspection by border guards near a sanatorium in the border Solotvyno, where he was planning treatment, the prosecutor asked the court to restrict Knyazev’s movement around Ukraine. But the defense was able to prove to the court that he did not violate any obligations that were imposed on Knyazev by the court,” Klochkov said.
