On Saturday, July 20, 85 military clashes between the Defence Forces and Russian invaders took place at the front. The hottest situation today remained in the Pokrovsk direction.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
“Since the beginning of the day, 85 military clashes have occurred at the front. Our defenders stop the enemy, hold their lines and destroy the plans of the Russians. At the same time, the occupiers continue to be active in the Pokrovsk direction,” the message says.
As noted, the Russian aggressor continues to fire guided aerial bombs from its territory in the Kharkiv region. From the direction of Russian Belgorod, the enemy conducted air strikes near Lyptsi, Kozacha Lopana and Borshchova. In particular, in the Kharkiv sector, two attacks near Hlyboke were repelled, and a battle is ongoing near Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to advance towards our positions near Hlushkivka and Petropavlivka throughout the day. Three enemy attacks are still ongoing near Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Pishchane. Near the latter, as well as in the vicinity of Kolisnykivka, the occupants dropped aerial bombs, a total of four CABs.
Russian troops increased the number of attacks to six in the Liman sector. Fighting continues near Nevske, Makiivka and in the direction of Lozova.
In the Siverskyi sector, the enemy tried to break through our defences eight times in the areas of Vyymka, Spirne, Pereyizne and Verkhnekamianske. Two firefights are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops continue to repel two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Klishchiyivka and Kalynivka. The total number of enemy’s assault attempts in the sector increased to six today.
In the Toretsk sector, four hostile attacks took place in the vicinity of Zalizne, where the enemy is still attacking, and New York. The occupants also bombed Pivnichne, Diliyivka and Toretsk.
The enemy is currently most active in the Pokrovske sector. 32 times today there were clashes of varying intensity. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka and Prohres. Occupants’ aviation was firing at Vovche and Tymofiyivka with anti-aircraft gunships during the day. In addition, terrorists conducted three air strikes with NARs in the area of Oleksandropol.
Fighting continues in the Kurakhove sector, in two locations near Krasnohorivka. Our troops successfully repelled six more attacks - the enemy suffered losses near Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.
In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor made four attacks on our positions near Kostiantynivka and Staromayorsk. Enemy attack aircraft attacked with multiple rocket launchers near Urozhayne.
In the Orikhove sector, three combat engagements took place in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. The enemy launched more than fifty unguided aerial missiles towards Kamianske and Lobkove.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the vicinity of Krynky.
