Situation at the front: the enemy continues active offensive operations


The Russian occupiers continue active offensive operations in order to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops. The main efforts are concentrated on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, however, the soldiers of the defense forces harshly respond to any enemy activity.

Since the beginning of the day, as of 16:00 on Monday, July 29, 99 military clashes have already occurred. This is stated in the operational structure of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the report, the Kharkiv region is under attack by Russian aircraft. So far, the occupying terrorists have downed 18 UAVs. They hit the areas of Staritsa, Lozova, Vovchansky Khutory, Mali Prokhody, Izbytske and Prykolodne.

In addition, in the Kharkiv sector, the Russian occupiers stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops four times in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. They suffered losses and retreated.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy actively attacked the positions of our units near Stelmakhivka and Pishchane three times. They also bombed the areas of Kupyansk and Petropavlivka. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold steadfastly the defence, the General Staff said.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army launched eight attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Makiivka and Terny. Six clashes ended without success for the enemy, two more are ongoing.

The enemy is also active in the Siversk sector. Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks near the towns of Ivanodaryivka, Spirne and Pereizne, and the enemy failed in four attempts to advance. The situation is under control, the report says.

"In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers made four assaults on the positions of our troops near Chasiv Yar, Dubovo Vasylivka, Klishchiyivka and Hryhorivka. Two of them are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, the number of hostile attacks increased to 12 since the beginning of the day. Adversary’s efforts are concentrated in the areas of Pivnichne, Zalizne and New York. Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks, others are ongoing. Toretsk and the surrounding areas were bombed by the occupiers - the enemy dropped eight UAVs.

As usual, the Pokrovsk sector saw the largest number of firefights in recent days, the General Staff reported. The occupiers, supported by bomber and attack aircraft, have made 36 attempts to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions in the vicinity of ten different settlements. The enemy is most active near Progres, Novooleksandrivka, Tymofiivka and Zhelanne.

The defence forces are holding back the attack and have repelled 20 enemy attacks so far. 16 battles are ongoing. Enemy aircraft dropped almost 20 UAVs in the area and also attacked with NARs near Oleksandropol and Novobakhmutivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, fighting took place near Kostyantynivka, Antonivka and Paraskoviivka. To date, 17 attacks by the occupying army have been stopped.

In the Vremivsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled an enemy attack near Velyka Novosilka. As of 4 p.m., five more battles are taking place in the areas of Kostyantynivka and Vodyane. The occupants launched three anti-aircraft gunships near Katerynivka and used unguided aerial missiles near Novodonetske.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders made three unsuccessful attempts to advance near Mala Tokmachka. They were fiercely rebuffed. They fired more than fifty NARs in the direction of Kamyanske and Myrne.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Prydniprovskyi sector. Instead, they bombed the areas of Lvov, Tyahyntsi and Novotyahyntsi, using seven CABs.
