Occupiers dropped two aerial bombs on Sumy region: there are casualties


The occupiers dropped two CABs on the Esman community of the Shostka district of the Sumy region. As a result of the airstrike, two men were killed and a woman was injured.

The press service of the Sumy region prosecutor’s office reported this on Telegram.

"According to the investigation, on August 22, 2024, at about 13:00, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers dropped two CABs on the civilian infrastructure of the Esman community of the Shostka district," the report says.

The Russian attack killed two civilian men, aged 74 and 67, and left the wife of one of the dead injured and hospitalised.

It is noted that the pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, which is combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), is ongoing.
