The Office of the Prosecutor General is preparing documents for the extradition of MP Artem Dmytruk, who is in London.

«As part of cooperation with the relevant authorities of a foreign state, the Office of the Prosecutor General is preparing materials for the extradition of a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, who is wanted in connection with evading justice in Ukraine.
Currently, the location of the MP has been established, and the court has determined a measure of restraint for him», - the statement reads.
Earlier, the publication The Independent reported that Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk was detained in London and that the issue of his extradition to Ukraine would be considered by the court.
Dmytruk himself stated in a comment for The Independent that the UK government had ensured his safety since he fled Ukraine in August. He characterized the extradition request as "political persecution against me and my family, as well as for my political views and support of the UOC". He also emphasized that he has "no personal issues with Volodymyr Zelenskyy".
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal case based on information received regarding the possible organization of illegal border crossing by Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk.
