In Poland, the first group of Ukrainian Legion volunteers signed contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This procedure took place at the recruitment center at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin. Each volunteer signed the contract one by one.
According to the center’s representative, Petro Horkusha, more than 600 people have already submitted applications to join the Ukrainian Legion. A week ago, it was reported that over 500 people from 30 countries had applied, with the majority residing in Poland and the Czech Republic.
The recruitment center stated that legion volunteers could sign a contract for three years or until the end of the war. After that, they will be sent to one of the training grounds in Poland for training.
