The aggressor state Russia launched a large-scale attack on energy facilities in Ukraine on November 28. As a result, the transmission system operator NEC "Ukrenergo" urgently implemented emergency power outages; regular schedules are no longer in effect.
The consequences will be clarified when the security situation allows. This was reported by the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko on Facebook.
"Attacks on energy facilities are taking place across Ukraine... Follow official announcements and stay in shelters!" – he wrote.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the aggressor country Russia has carried out the 11th large-scale attack this year on the civilian energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
"Energy workers are working to ensure backup power schemes where possible. They have already begun restoration work where the security situation permits. The assessment of the damage scale is ongoing," – the agency reported.
