In the Pokrovsk community in the Donetsk region, there are still 138 children remaining

About 17,000 civilians remain in the Pokrovsk community of the Donetsk region, including 138 children.

This was reported on television by the First Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Vynokurov.

"The security situation in the Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk communities is also extremely difficult. All children and families with children have already been evacuated from the Myrnohrad community, with about 3,000 people remaining in the community. In the Pokrovsk community, 138 children and about 17,000 civilians remain, of which 11,500 live in the city of Pokrovsk, and 29 children remain in Pokrovsk," Vynokurov said.

In the Kurakhove community, he noted, fewer than a thousand residents remain, with 650 people living in the town of Kurakhove. "The National Police have carried out all evacuation measures as of today, and we are doing everything possible to evacuate the civilian population," Vynokurov added.

He also reported that during the past day the enemy carried out around 3,100 shellings in the region. Two civilians were killed, and two others were injured. Druzhkivka, Myrnohrad, Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, Kurakhove, Toretsk, and other settlements came under fire.

According to him, constant shelling and FPV drone attacks significantly complicate evacuation, and in some places, it is only possible at night. Also, not everyone decides on evacuation in a timely manner.

"Unfortunately, we have a lot of people who make the decision to evacuate at the last moment when the situation around their settlements sharply deteriorates," the official stressed.

He assured that the regional authorities, National Police units, and other services are working on ensuring evacuation from all settlements. Continuous informational work is conducted, and chatbots and hotlines are open for people to contact for evacuation. Information materials about evacuation are also provided during the delivery of humanitarian aid.

"Today, the evacuation point for railway transport has been moved to the city of Pavlohrad for safety reasons. And now all relocated persons receive ₴10,800 from our international partners for the first time, and then they have the opportunity to receive payments, registering as internally displaced persons for up to six months. They are all accommodated in specialized dormitories in other regions. I want to emphasize that evacuation to the Ivano-Frankivsk region continues, and anyone wishing to evacuate can contact the hotlines and chatbots available on all informational resources of the Donetsk region," Vynokurov noted.
