Voloshyn: The Pokrovsk direction remains the most challenging on the Eastern front

On the Eastern front, 169 combat clashes took place, with the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction — 40 assaults were recorded.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia," Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, according to  Armyinform.

According to Voloshyn, the situation remains consistently difficult in Chasiv Yar. There, two assault attempts were repelled.

"On the outskirts of Chasiv Yar and in the city itself, the enemy has been trying for almost a year to conduct assault operations carried out by the Russian 98th Airborne Division, which our defenders have already defeated twice. They have, of course, replenished their ranks with both personnel and equipment," said Nazar Voloshyn.

The tactics of the Russian paratroopers do not change, added Lieutenant Colonel Voloshyn. They attempt to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal, accumulate in destroyed houses and basements, and then try to attack.
