Russians are putting pressure on the flanks in the Velyka Novosilka area in the south of the Donetsk region and may soon occupy them, encircling the city.

A Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign "Alex" notes that a battle is ongoing in Novyi Komar, located north of Velyka Novosilka, and further south, in the Blahodatne area, Russians are achieving success.
"The problem is that the enemy may soon completely take control of the flanks around the city, and then everything will develop according to the standard scenario, as it was before, which does not bode well," he said.
Similar information is conveyed by war correspondent Miroshnykov.
"Events in the Velyka Novosilka area are developing very rapidly... This was not unexpected. However, the enemy is quickly breaking through key positions on the flanks. The lack of human resources, ammunition, and drones is seriously affecting the situation," he wrote.
