Air defence forces destroyed all UAVs that Russia attempted to use to attack Kyiv


The Defence Forces shot down all the Russian kamikaze drones that the enemy attempted to use to attack Kyiv on the night of December 20. The debris fell on non-residential territory in the Desnyanskyi district – preliminarily, without consequences.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Serhiy Popko. He added that enemy UAVs approached the capital in several waves, with air alarms announced twice throughout the night.

"By the forces and means of air defence, all Russian drones posing a threat to Kyiv were promptly detected and neutralized on the approaches and within the city. The exact number and type of drones will be disclosed by the Air Force," the official noted.

According to him, as a result of the attack by Russian UAVs, it was preliminarily recorded that debris fell in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital on non-residential territory.

No information has been received about critical destructions, fires, or casualties. The data from the operational summary is being updated and refined.

"I urge all Kyiv residents to always take danger announcements seriously, adhere to rules, and always use shelters. Take care of yourselves!" emphasized the head of the KCMA.
