3rd Assault released an investigation into Russian war crimes in Luhansk region

The soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade have published additional evidence of war crimes committed by Russian occupiers. These were carried out in the village of Nevske in the Luhansk region.

The respective video was released by the unit’s media service. They emphasized that this investigation could be used in an international court as evidence of war crimes committed by Russian military personnel on Ukrainian territory.

It is noted that the materials were found on the phone of a soldier in the Russian army, who was recording "criminal orders of his accomplice Oleg Rudakov with the call sign Rudik" on a smartphone. The investigation managed to identify the Russian individual and learn details about his biography and service.

"The occupier was assigning tasks related to shootings and torture of the local population to Russian soldiers who were closer to the line of contact. In addition, the Third Assault Brigade intercepted radio communications of Rudakov’s group entering the village of Nevske. In them, an order to ’cleanse,’ meaning to eliminate the residents of the settlement, was issued," the unit emphasized.

Apart from war crimes against civilians, in the intercepted radio communications of the Russians, the Third Assault Brigade recorded instances of inhumane treatment within the Russian army towards their own soldiers. This includes killing as a method of punishing servicemen.
