The court obliged the Security Service of Ukraine to ensure that Member of Parliament Nestor Shufrych exercises his parliamentary powers. This is stated in the photocopy of the resolution of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court from December 24.
MP Oleksiy Honcharenko announced this on Facebook and published a photo of the relevant document. It is noteworthy that MP Shufrych remains in custody on charges of treason.
The court’s resolution states that Shufrych’s execution of parliamentary duties should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.
"To oblige authorized persons responsible for ensuring proper conditions for holding the accused Nestor Shufrych in custody within the applied preventive measure, to take measures to ensure the rights of the accused Nestor Shufrych to exercise his powers as a Member of Parliament of Ukraine in the form and manner specified by current legislation," the document states.
It is stated that the court’s ruling is not subject to appeal.
