The occupiers near the Kerch Bridge have lost almost half of the barriers with barges

Russia lost 16 barges in Crimea in a month.

During the autumn-winter storms, the Russians lost almost half of the barge barriers near the Kerch Bridge.

This was reported by the monitoring group "Crimean Wind".

The monitoring group counted 18 barges near the Kerch Bridge on a satellite image from December, while on November 8, 2024, 34 barges on both sides of the shipping channel were recorded, which were secured together in two rows.

At the same time, it is noted that no one is engaged in restoring the barriers.

Recall that the occupiers try to protect the infrastructure from marine drone strikes using barges. The Russians first used "river-sea" class barges to protect the Kerch Bridge in the fall of 2023. At that time, seven floating vessels were chained together and sunk near the eastern span of the bridge, presumably to protect the supports from underwater attacks.
