In the Donetsk region, Russian forces have taken control of the Shevchenkivske lithium deposit, which is one of the largest in Ukraine with reserves of lithium ores of category C1 amounting to 5.67 million tons, and category C2 – over 8 million tons.

Additionally, the seized deposit also contains ores of tantalum, niobium, and beryllium.
