In 2025, Ukraine plans to implement a military ID. This document will be available in the "Army+" app.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defence for Digitalization, Kateryna Chernohorenko, in an interview with blogger Serhiy Sternenko.
"This will become the only electronic document for all military personnel. The "Army+" will include a military ID with a photo, rank, and position. This will be implemented when we launch a unified military personnel registry," she noted.
According to Chernohorenko, the bill that will allow the creation of the appropriate registry has already passed two readings in the Verkhovna Rada and is awaiting the president’s signature.
"As soon as it is signed, we will create this registry. I believe that approximately in the first half of 2025, by June, we will introduce the military ID," she concluded.
