Officers of the SSU arrested a serviceman from the security platoon of the Vinnytsia district TRC for a bribe of $16,000.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Monday, January 6.
According to the investigation, in December 2024, the serviceman offered a conscript for an illegal reward to provide forms signed by the commander and left blank for summonses to update registration data as supposedly official calls to the RTRC and SP in a few months – providing so-called deferment of mobilization.
Agreeing to the proposal, the citizen informed law enforcement and subsequently acted under their control. Having received the agreed sum of money, the serviceman provided the citizen with 4 blank summons forms.
The suspect also offered to assist four more conscripts in evading mobilization for $16,000 each using a similar scheme.
Law enforcement officers arrested the serviceman during the receipt of the discussed sum.
The suspect has been given a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 908,400 hryvnias.
