On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are in a semi-encirclement

The aggressor’s army is trying to encircle Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. However, there is currently no reason to assert that this town is in a semi-encirclement.

This was reported by military expert, reserve colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, flight instructor Roman Svitan, according to Channel 24.

"The main column of Russians, which is trying to break through from the village of Shevchenko to Udachne, south of Pokrovsk, is in a semi-encirclement," he emphasized.

Svitan noted that the Russian occupiers themselves found themselves in a semi-encirclement. This is because to the north is our Pokrovsk group, to the west is the group from Udachne, and to the south, the group of Ukrainian defenders is active.

In his opinion, if at least one of our brigades moves from the south to attack the Russians, and our Pokrovsk units begin to act simultaneously from the north, it will lead to the complete encirclement of the Russian group moving from the village of Shevchenko towards Udachne.

The expert reminded that two roads lead to Pokrovsk: the main route from the west from Pavlohrad and from the north from Dobropillya, which are currently under no threat. The supply of our Pokrovsk group is carried out in two important directions.

"Pokrovsk, from the point of view of semi-encirclement or encirclement, is currently not under any threat. It’s the Russians who have the problems," stated Svitan.

Also, in his opinion, talking about any semi-encirclement in Pokrovsk is possible only in one case: if the Russians enter from Myrnohrad, start bypassing it from the north, and reach the Dobropillya-Pokrovsk road, simultaneously displacing our garrison from Udachne and reaching the road from Pavlohrad to Pokrovsk.
