Russian troops are advancing on Udachne and threatening the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pokrovsk

Russian troops continue their offensive in the Donetsk region, attempting to demoralize both the population of frontline villages and the Ukrainian military personnel defending positions near Pokrovsk.

On January 19, the occupiers spread false information alleging that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had lost control over the "Pokrovsk" mine management, but residents of the village report that Russian troops have only occupied about a third of the eastern part of the village Udachne, including VPS-1, yet they have not reached the mine.

According to data from the Telegram channel "Volnodumets," as of the evening of January 19, Russian troops have not advanced to the center of the village, where positional battles continue. It is expected that the Russians are gathering additional forces—two regiments of the 90th Tank Division and three motorized rifle brigades—to capture Udachne and continue their offensive. Advances are planned in two directions: the first towards Molodetske, reaching the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the village of Novopidhorodnie, and the second through the village of Kotlyne to the western outskirts of Pokrovsk and then north towards Pavlohrad.

This route is strategically important for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the capture of key roads and railways by Russian troops could disrupt critical logistical routes and also open the path for further advancement into the Dnipropetrovsk region, towards Ukraine’s valuable natural resources.
